Provide insurance, safety, claims, loss prevention and risk management consultation services to state agencies and employees.

                                               Philosophy:
We believe that a successful Risk Management program requires proactive vs. reactive plans and actions. We believe that most risks can and must be identified and effectively managed. We believe that consideration of risk management issues needs to be incorporated early in all decision-making processes.

The  Division  receives  its  general  authority  under NRS 331.182  through 331.188 inclusive. The required services and programs of the Division are described in NRS 616A  through 617 inclusive, 618.375, 618.383, 618.385 and 618.395 and NAC 284 and in  the State Administrative Manual  Section 0500. The  Division  has  one office  in Carson  City  that  houses  7  FTE positions. The services of  the division are accomplished  through multiple independent contracts. Risk Management liaisons are assigned from  each agency and the Division trains and coordinates services through these designated liaisons
